October 2008

You now have a new President of the San Diego Section - just a little later in the year than normal.

I am not a stranger to ISA Section leadership. I served on the Los Angeles Section board for fifteen years starting in the early '90's with Kim Miller Dunn as the Section President. I look forward to trying to inject new life into the San Diego Section. We can't have the San Diego Section of District 11 go dormant with Kim presiding as ISA President this year. Kim has dedicated over 20 years worth of her time and talents to strengthening District 11 on her road to the Societies top job.

The primary mission of ISA is to educate our members and strengthen the profession of Controls Engineering.

ISA offers significant resources to help those interested in obtaining professional recognition with the PE, CCST or CAP. The Certified Control System Technician program has grown steadily since it's inception in the mid-90's with over 4,000 certified to the program from level I to level III.

This is just one of ISA's success stories. Just another example of how the 30,000 current members of ISA are always working to support all Control System professionals.

Any of you who would like to serve in various capacities on the San Diego Board please step forward for the betterment of the profession.
