Advantages and disadvantages of Spread Spectrum Radio Communications in industrial applications will be discussed.
Historically wireless systems deployed licensed radio frequencies. When the Navy allowed their frequency to be used in civil applications the spread spectrum radio communication became widely applied in many industrial applications.
Speaker George Wolkowisky will discuss deployment of 900 MHZ spread spectrum radio with cellular and satellite communications in remote tank level monitoring and inventory management. Examples will be shown deploying variety of wireless sensors. Ultrasonic, radar, pressure, temperature and other types of wireless sensors will be discussed.
George Wolkowisky is President of Alpha Wireless ATG. He served as the first webmaster for the Los Angeles Section of ISA, establishing the website in 1999, and has also served as president of the Section. George can be reached at georgew@RemoteTank.com, (310) 488-4249 or (877) 292-8770 at Alpha Wireless ATG, 1122 S. Robertson Blvd Unit # 8, Los Angeles, CA 90035.
